Soundtracks Pt.1

Hi Cosmonauts,

some time ago I suggested to write a post about good soundtracks and I don't mean the popular ones s.a. from Tarantino or Twilight movies...
There are some hidden treasures in the OST- World and I want to introduce you to my favorite ones.
I take the original movie titles, not the german ones of course....

1. Hideous Kinky

This post's inspiration ! Written by Esther Freud, this movie is settled in the 70ties. So the OST is a travel through Hippie and Flower Power Land.

I mean...Jefferson Airplane ? Nick Drake ? Canned Heat ? It's like a perfect 70ties mixtape to your own summertrip. My favorite tracks are "You don't have to cry" and ....all of them !

This might be one of the more unkown tracks ....

2. Almost Famous

Another Hippie movie, woohoo. But with a little more Rock'n' Roll. This movie follows a teenage boy and his favorite band on their way to fame. On the OST is a song from the invented band "Stillwater". This is the band, William, the boy, follows during their America tour. And it's one of my favorite tracks. Notice the OST does not contain all tracks from the movie...unfortunately.

3. The Informers

Now we move on to the 80ties. I know...many people hate the music of this decade and I can understand that. But there were also loads of really good popsongs and this OST contains them. The movie is based upon a book with short stories written by Bret Easton Ellis. The movie narrates different human fates and contains also an invented band , namely " The Informers".
Again....the OST CD doesn't contain all tracks !
