Atoms For Peace - Ingenue

Besides the fact that Thom Yorke is a great singer and songwriter, it's pretty clear now, that his true love seems to be Modern Dance. After his performance in Radiohead's Video "Lotus Flower", he does a wonderful Pas de Deux in his new band's video "Ingenue".
The new supergroup as it is called in all press and media consists of Thom Yorke, Flea (from the RHCP), Nigel Godrich ( Radiohead's producer), Joey Waronker ( REM/ Beck) and RHCP percussionist Mauro Refosco. Their album "Amok" is available and they are also on tour this summer in Europe.

Cate Le Bon

Hey Cosmonauts....

today I want to introduce this fascinating woman to you: Cate le Bon. She released her second album "Cyrk" this April and a sequel "Cyrk II " in August.
Her voice is compared to Velvet Underground's Nico. It's dark and old, it reminds me a lot of female 70ties Folksingers.
Coming from West wales, her first EP was written completely in Welsh language. But her debut "My oh My" and the "Cyrk" albums are in English.

it's me....cosmo ! Finally back from hanging around in the orbit.
I saw a nice movie yesterday with one of my favorite actors John Cusack. He plays Edgar Allan Poe. First I thought it'd be an autobiographical movie, but it's a bloodthirsty thriller...
The Raven.....

It's perfect to watch it during a cold, stormy winternight...
Another interesting thing about this movie was the closing song. It's from UNCLE feat. Ian Astbury called "Burn my shadow". I knew the song and video before. It's one of these typical disturbing UNCLE videos....remember "Rabbit in your headlights" with Radiohead's Thom Yorke ?
Well....the song fits so good to the movie and so I want to post it today. And you know I love Ian Astbury from the Cult.

Sizarr & Tame Impala

Hey cosmonauts....

First we have Sizarr, a young german band, founded 2009. They make unusual videos for a german band. Boarding Time is pretty disturbing, dark and anxious, while Purple Fried is an ode to eastern movies with long slow sequences and lots of asian symbols.
The music is a mixture of electronic, post punk, sometimes compared to the 80ties sound.
The album is called "Psycho Boy Happy" and they are on tour.
